Oct 8, 2023In February 2023, Joseph Braswell, a Memphis, Tennessee, man, was arrested for eating two bags of stolen potato chips, although Braswell was not directly responsible for the theft. Allegedly, another man picked up a display of potato chips and absconded with them to his car after getting into an argument with a worker at Circle K convenience store. I can imagine a situation where a guy in an empty parking lot eating Taco Bell is suspicious. But it would take like a couple minutes at most to run the plates, talk to the driver and figure out that beyond him eating a taco there is NO FUCKING CRIMINAL ACTIVITY HERE. The man may be uncooperative but he is well within his rights.
